| Re: What does everyone use for mosquitoes? i did a little research and while products containing DEET are the best defense against west nile/mosquitoes for humans, both the FDA and AVMA say to not use such products on dogs/animals. of course, both sites said to contact your vet to find out what you can use.
in the last reader's digest, there was an article about west nile/mosquitos and skin so soft was rated one of the worst insect repellants. i think it said it's effects only lasted 25 minutes. i thought that was rather interesting because we use it all the time and it seems to work rather well. my husband said he and his fellow marine's used it all the time when they were out in the field to keep from getting attacked by the sand fleas. |
