Our first night of obedience classes is officially canceled due to the rain... the kids and I are awfully disappointed. A whole week now until the next one. I was also disappointed to hear that the class was going to be made up with a 2-hour class instead of tacking one on to the end of the series.
Anyways, today was the boys "freedom" day. I removed the makeshift no-bite collars and introduced them to their new dog run and accompanying shelter. Of course, within 10 minutes of me being out of their site, they engaged in a completely new behavior... digging. Any suggestions on breaking this problem?
Also, I've been slowly introducing raw food into the boy's diet. They particularly like apple slices and have shown no adverse affects from them. We did, however, have a rather disturbing incident yesterday. I gave each dog a beef bone while they were in their crate. Caesar (rottie) began barking, growling and generally going crazy when he realized that Cosmo had a bone of his own. It took me 10 minutes to actually get the growling stopped and that was with placing a visual divider between the crates. The question is, what did I experience?
