Proheart is not "coming off the market". It has been in use in Europe for a number of years longer than in the U.S. anf they will soon be getting FDA approval for a once a year proheart injection here, as is already used there. "Many" deaths is mostly internet gossip. There have been a few fatal allergic reactions. The overall reported percentage of adverse reactions (any reaction - no matter how minor ) is less than 3/10 of one percent of the dogs injected.
I do not give Proheart on the same day as vaccinating. If there is any depression following injections, I want to know which product is responsible. Also. less stressfull for the animal to space it out. |
