double-dosing: Proheart, rabies, etc.

I received Kord's vet records yesterday, and have fallen into the morass of Proheart 6 information. As has been discussed here before, there have been many deaths attributed to the injection, but just as many users are pleased with the product. Most of what I can find is controversial at best, and much of it indicates the product may be coming off the market. Some dogs have died with in 3-5 days, other deaths many months later have been linked to it. Some people believe it loses effectiveness in 3-4 months, others say it's good for 8-9 months. Everyone agrees you shouldn't take any other heartworm treatment till you're sure this has worn off.

Here's my question. Kord received a proheart 6 injection last August. He was put on Interceptor in March when I took him from Animal Control. If he's not showing any signs of anything, should I worry?

Last August, he also received a full set of annual vaccinations, including rabies. Of course, in March all these were repeated. Could all of this have to do with the fact that we've had trouble stabilizing his poop quality and routine? Should I be looking for any particular signs?

This one of those times where I don't know whether to worry or not. IF there was a problem, what do you think I might see?
