| HOW do you train ??? - this is for puppy owners I just want to clearify that I have given some advice about training the OK-word and just want to say something to all new puppy-owners.
When I write it you will all of course think "Oh is she stupid - OF COURSE it is so and I know it"...
And then I say "Yes, I KNOW that you know it but do you DO it?"
What I am talking about is:
Training/learning a puppy takes time and energy.
It is worthless to KNOW things if someone doesn't DO them (live them).
When I give advice to train something I mean that these training sessions should be weaved into the daily life.
Short periods of training in daily situations - but often. Every day, several times per day.
It takes time to get result, but by DOING without boring the dog with loooong training sessions he/she will finally UNDERSTAND what you mean and then you just have to do it a little now and then to keep the knowledge alive.
I have seen so many train their dogs in boring, too long sessions and the dogs does learn but they are no HAPPY dogs |
