Everyone has their own opinion. If you find it difficult to get an "honest answer" here; maybe it's you. Not them. Seems you want answers that you WANT TO HEAR.

In the particular thread you referred to "Building Mass" there were EXCELLENT posts throughout that thread. It was very clearly and painstakingly explained in many posts. The how's and the why's.

Now, for your bike post.
Biking is a good exercise. You do have to carefully condition the dogs pads to road surfaces. It's advisable to put "Bag Balm" or TuffPad on them to help with cracking.

Start slowly and add distance. Hopefully you've gotten a handle on your boys dog aggression, otherwise he may take you on quite a ride. There are devices you can attach to the bike called a "Springer". It allows you to have both hands on the bike; and not the dog. Dogs really should be fairly obedient when using the Springer though.
