This has been posted on here before (once by myself). I think it's good that someone keeps bringing it up. I also received this from ASPCA today.
Anyway, I did exactly as this letter said to do by writing my state insurance commissioner in November. I did receive an email letter from his office thanking me,etc. I also sent a letter to my then insurance company (Travelers) informing them that I wrote to the commissioner to inform him of their denial of renewal of my homeowners insurance based on having two Rottweilers. I also told them I was cancelling my auto insurance with them and wanted nothing to do with their insurance company. Of course, Traveler's made no reply to my letter. I had also received an actual paper letter from the commissioner's office. I will be moving soon and when I get settled again I will write the commissioner's office again to find out if there is any kind of update concerning this issue. There have been too many of us being denied insurance based on this dumb reason.
