If he is properly potty trained and you have a routine, then yes, if you catch him in the act of pottying in the house, reprimand him and revise potty schedule.

BUT, vomiting can and will happen at the most inopportune times (like 3am...), and most of the time, the dog cannot help it, and you cannot get him out the door before he pukes....so, no reprimand (at least from me).

Ben has a tendency to vomit in corners (usually by the stairs or the door)...no clue why, but if I know he's vomited, I can usually find it :) . If he starts to exhibit signs he's going to vomit, I will either take him into the bathroom or carry a towel and when he stops walking I'll put it down so he'll puke on that....either way, I clean it up, offer a bit of water (must have a horrid taste in his mouth!), and keep an eye on him, depending on what was thrown up. I can never get him out the door fast enough so I don't even try...

If he vomits again, he'll be fasted for 12 hours and we will feed rice and boiled hamburger for 24 hours, just to be on the safe side.

If you see that Julius is going to vomit, you can leas him to the back door, and allow him to do it there (or get him outside quickly), and I think if you keep doing it, he'll hopefully learn that near the back door is the 'puking place' if mom and dad are not home...
