| You can get an ILP registration from AKC if your dog appears to be a Rottweiler. With the ILP you can show in obedience, get your CGC(you can get a CGC even with a mixed breed) and show in other venues, everything but confirmation.
AKC does make an effort to close down puppymills by requiring DNA testing.
