1st off i truly feel sorry for you and your dog but----------------
1. you bought your pup without a gauantee you werent lied to it just isnt in the contract which you didnt have to agree to, and you could have bought else where......
2. your vet may very well be wrong depending on how many prelimbs he has done and so on.......
3. as far as the fake ofa papers go----- just because you punched in the numbers on there website and it didnt show does not mean they are fake there data base on the website is inconclusive.... you need to talk to the ofa personally by phone....
also usually if someone fakes something like this they would usually only show you the papers not give you a easily checked on copy, that if proved fake would have seriaus ramifications for them........
4. having ofa'd parents doesnt guarrentee that your pup will not be born without hip problems you must resurch ancestry as far as possible to get the best pup you can........good dogs can throw bad pups and bad dogs can throw excellant pups thats just the way it is....
i truly hope the breeder has a change of heart and helps you out some although i dont believe you posted what you expect from the breeder-new pup?? refund?? help with medical?? but the bottom line here is you bought the pup without doing enough checking and you bought it with a contract that did not guarrentee the hips and we cannot work through hindsight here
