| Rottiegirl,
I too am sorry to read about your dog. A year ago I let my 7 1/2 year old male go because of these same symtoms. He was fine on Sat and then Sun he started stumbling and falling like he was drunk. (only his hind legs). On Monday my husband took him to the vet and he was given some medication but my husband said the vet also did some kind of test with needles in his skin??? It was accute displaysia. I have a wonderful vet and he said lets give him a few days on the medicine. We owe him that to try. I did but by Wed, he couldn't walk at all and I called the vet back and asked him to put him to sleep. He came to my house and did it. He couldn't tell me that I should let him go but when I asked him to, he told me I made the right decision. I agree in allowing the dog to go with the dignity they greatly deserve for being such loving loyal companions. It's hard to let go but please know that if you do make that decision, you have done the right thing and your dog will thank you for it.
Sincerely and in my prayers,
justrj
