| chewing the dumbbell
I have begun training my dog with a dumbbell, but she only wants to chew on it. As soon as she takes it, she rolls it to the back of her mouth, and the molars start working. Should I teach her to hold it ijust behind her canines, or should I continue to discourage her from chewing it in the back of her mouth? It is a wooden dumbbell, and she did significant damage to the cross-bar in just a few short lessons. I have wrapped it with duct-tape and we proceeded with the lessons. Any advice? Thanks. |
