| Have friends come and throw a party at the edge of the water (by that I mean have a happy time) while ignoring the dog. He will probably want to join you. When he does welcome him, but don't try to coax him further, let him retreat if he needs to and then rejoin you as he is ready. As he sees everyone having a good time it will reassure him. |
