| I have seat belt harnesses for my two critters. They are designed to have the shoulder harness go thru a loop on the top of the harness and then clip into the seat belt clip. Personally, I find this setup to be kinda crappy. When the dog wants to turn around or get comfortable, they get all tangled in the seat belt.
What I have taken to doing is using the harness with a caribiner ( D clip like mountaineers use) on the chest part of the harness. I have also found a neat little clip that I got at Canadian Tire which includes a regular leash type end on one end, but on the other end is an end that fits into the seat belt clip part. I adjust this so they can move around but not move to far, and if you have to hit the brakes, then they are held solidly by the caribiner and harness.
