I don't know anything about working dogs except what I see on TV or in the forums. I would like to get my dog into some competitions ect. as a hobby for us. He does not have to be a champion or anything, I would just like for him to have a "job". This will provide for better excersize and help us interact more.

My question is where do you start? I don't know the first thing about this stuff. We are in a puppy class now and I plan on getting him obedience trained. What are my options as far as "jobs"? Is there a website on competitions and things for dummies? Basically I want to start from scratch and dont know anyone in the business....
