Did you mention all the health problems Rotties can get and all the expenses? Dogs aren't cheap, especially a Rottweiler. Please mention all the expenses that goes along with the ownership.
Please let us know how it goes. Let's hope he changes his mind. Maybe you could mention getting another type of pet for him if he has his mind set on a pet. I like the plant and fish idea! Or even a hampster or guinea pig? Something other than a dog as a gift!!!! :(
