| If it is not posted, you don't ask, just go. Make sure you are dressed decently, put your dog in a nifty heel position and move in a business like manner. Act like you own the joint. When you get to the part of the store you want to find something in, put dog in down stay, select your purchases. By this time, everyone who might have some reservations are reassured and calmed down and then you can do the social thing if you choose. That has always been my method and it works just fine.
If you are hesitant, or ask first, you'll likely be told no. I've never been asked to take the dog out or leave. |
