| I do not use topicals and feel they are not good for dogs, especially breeding animals. I do not want my males being exposed to those things (if they breed a bitch they will get some on their fur) and surely do not want any babies my boys sire being exposed in utero.
We use no chemicals (haven't in over 8 years and before that we used them very limtedly) at all and have not had any fleas here in 15 years. There are natural orange based shampoos that work well as well as supplements and carpet powders
Just my personal preference based upon my research (of which I ran across an interesting study by a University that showed dogs treated with topicals-including sprays, powders, collars and true topicals- were many times more likely to get bladder cancer- creepy huh)
