We have two right now, although I posted a question recently about any changes that might occur or be expected with adding a third. But when we brought in the second, we were lucky that they loved each other immediately! They are opposite sexes, and the second one was only 5 months old compared to 5 years old with our first girl. Now I can't even imagine them apart. They adore each other and are always together. Of course we do things with them separately (training, walks, etc.), but I know they really enjoy having each other during the day when we're at work, or even just hanging out. They don't get jealous of each other and are just the best of friends. We didn't experience any pack/dominance, etc. issues b/c my boy was so much younger and is such a wimp that he would never even attempt to be alpha over the female! But that was just our experience- I'm sure others will respond with different stories. I think it definitely depends on both dogs' personalities. Good luck and keep us updated in case you decide to expand your family! :)
