Good story but impossible. An undescended testical is not going to suddenly descent at an adult age.

Back to breeding. The reason for the rules is that the show ring is supposed to be a venue for breeding potential. As such, people should be able to "see" what attributes the dog has that are likely to be passed on to the offspring. Faults that are disguised will still show up in the offspring. Also, remember that not all faults come from the sire. ;)
