| I've often noticed that when someone is upset or stressed that pets just 'know' and do their best to help! I had had a particularly difficult day, was ill and just wanted to curl up and be left alone. Before I knew it, my cat had jumped up on my lap and curled into a ball - purring as hard as she could.
Next thing I knew, I wasn't upset, I was giggling while playing with Bailey and I was feeling better. :)
She doesn't usually do this, so why did she? I'm convinced that we have a certain body language when we're not feeling well / feeling upset - that tells our pets. Dogs seem to know when we need a good snuggle. ;)
I think your dog knew that your son was nervous and he stayed by his side for that reason. Good Boy!! :D
