| DOG ATTACKS Maybe this should be posted under the General Info. forum. But I have a few things to say after reading up on all of the different stories which relate to dog attacks of all kinds.
The sad but true part to almost any dog attack is that we never get the whole story. When all of the details finally do come to the surface, it is months after the fact and no one can use the information where necessary by that time.
Perhaps many of you heard about the attack on the US CENSUS worker, or the young boy in KY or the lady is CA, or any number of similiar incidents. During the first reports of any of these stories, involving Rottweiler's or any other breed, you hear about "the dog" being blamed for the attack, and many times all pertinent details are left out.
Upon further investigation into the majority of dog attacks (not all, but most) you will find two common problems.
Two common problems that are hardly EVER ADDRESSED by reporters or anyone else. Except on this forum.
#1 - There is more than one dog involved, many times three or more.
#2 - The owner of the dog(s) is never anywhere to be found.
On top of these two problems, the attacks always occur (almost always) somewhere that the dog has no right to be, and the owner probably has no idea where they are at.
It enrages me, and it even makes me more angry that everyone fails to say these things at the time of the attack. Where in the hell is the owner?? AND why is the dog not secured at home if the owner is nowhere around??
Then, we will single out one dog to blame, when four of them could have been responsible for an accident that may or may not have taken a child's life?
Ohhhh........enough said.
