| I got my youngest dog at 10 months of age back in November. She is now 15 months old. She has grown an inch and three quarters in that time and gained just five pounds in five months. As a dog nears a year of age, the growth rate (and accompanying weight gain) starts to slow down. If your dog is a healthy weight, don't worry about it. Weight is only an indication of how much food an owner stuffs into their dog. Her ultimate size will be determined by genetics and giving her more food won't do anything except make her fat. |
