| Sadly, the turn out was not all that great. We did have a good discussion though with those who were there.
Points that were discussed were (in no particular order):
- Punish the deed, not the breed
- Educate the public about responsible pet ownership
- How to find a good breeder and how to know one when you see one
- Temperament evaluations
- The definition of an aggressive breed and how arbitrary it is
- Shelters and Rescues
- Spay and Neutering
- Why Puppy Mills, Pet Stores and BYB are NOT a good choice
- Resposibility of breeders to evaluate potential homes and continue to monitor them
- How Puppy Mills, Pet Stores and BYB do not evaluate nor monitor, offer no support system
- Dogs are a direct reflection of their owners; you only get out what you put in
