| I tend to agree with the leaning over thing...I advice all strangers not to lean into my guy, why take a risk when you don't have too..why tempt fate,
Don't get me wrong I a do a tremendous amount of training with my guy....I don't think he would do anything.....would I bet my life on it...no!.....so why would I risk a strangers face.
I think it is good advice to train and socialize your dog to the enth degree...but when you are in control of a situation..remove all doubt that anything can happen.
i.e 4 kids running and playing in the back yard...you put your dog under your supervision in the back yard with them....your dog has been trained to behave(around jumping, yelling and normally rambuctious kids)....but why risk it...leave him in the house...remove all doubt...just another example
Oh and and as far as leaving your dog alone at the vet.....remember your a member of his pack and he feels safer and more confident around you...I highly doubt it is a protection thing...it's more than likely uneasiness or bullying.
