| Before aqquiring the rotts I now have I had a beautiful pair of red doberman's they were really wonderful dogs. They have thier own set of problems they tend to be prone to develope tumors and a little known fact is that due to the demand for big dobermans they at some point tried to breed in great dane hibrids to increase size in doing so some of the later dogs circa 1985 and on had a medical condition that was quite odd the brain kept growing after two years and the skull stopped this caused pressure on the brain and led to a multitude of problems with the breeds behaviors later in life.I found this out when a friends dog one day decided to chew it's own paw off. This was a healthy happy friendly dog that turned into a three footed viscious animal in a matter of days and was put down after a week.Do not think I dislike dobermans if I had the chance "and the room" I would have them but there is a legitimate reason for "some" of the tales of horror.I do still have documentation on this condition I will scan and send it to anyone wanting it's e-mail.. |
