| Only had one real emergency with a Gryph. He went to get someone that was trying to get into our house through a window. Punctured the bottom of his front foot right behind the pad.
We were not home at the time but when we got home, there was blood everywhere.
Emergency trip to the vet $365.00. Includes, surgery to close arteries, stiches, overnight stay, all the meds, take home prescription, and 1 change of bandages.
Not included is the $8,000 we are going to spend to replace the permenently blood stained carpet with hardwood. (we would be doing this even if the carpet wasn't ruined) and approx. $30 to replace the window glass.
And this all happened in Naugatuck, Connecticut in November. I just wish I could have seen the wouldbe intruders face when they saw Gryph coming through the window after them. |
